What does the zigzag warning light look like?
The zigzag warning light is also called the multifunction indicator. It appears as an orange or red rectangle with a central wavy line, resembling an electrocardiogram, a wave, or even a spring! It's unclear what Dacia engineers intended with this symbol...
The light can turn on in either orange or red, depending on the issue with your Dacia.
Orange zigzag light vs. red zigzag light
Red zigzag light – Dacia models

Light name: Multifunction warning light
Urgency: Immediate stop required
Description: This light turns on when the engine starts but should turn off quickly. If it remains on or appears while driving, it indicates a serious malfunction.
What to do: If the red zigzag light turns on along with other warning lights and a sound alert is triggered, pull over to the side of the road as soon as possible and turn off the engine. Do not restart the vehicle and contact roadside assistance.
Orange zigzag light – Dacia models

Urgency: Alert
Description: This light turns on while driving along with other dashboard warning lights.
What to do: This indicator signals an electronic issue with your car. You can continue driving, but you should visit a Dacia dealership as soon as possible.

Orange zigzag light + wrench symbol

Oil changes and maintenance for Dacia vehicles should be done annually or every 10,000 km. When the service is due, the orange multifunction warning light and the wrench symbol will appear.

Orange zigzag light + tire pressure warning light
Each wheel (except the spare tire) has a sensor in the inflation valve that periodically measures tire pressure.

If a sudden loss of pressure occurs, such as in the case of a puncture, the tire pressure warning light and the red zigzag light will turn on, accompanied by an alert sound. You must stop immediately to change the tire.

If the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) detects a pressure drop, the tire warning light will turn on along with the orange multifunction warning light. Check the pressure as soon as possible, ideally when the tires are cold. The recommended pressure is listed inside the driver’s door.
If the tire pressure warning light blinks for a few seconds before staying on along with the orange multifunction warning light, one of the tire sensors may be faulty or missing. Note: The tire warning light will also turn on when using the spare tire.
